Here at Yottaa, we are seeking a Web Designer to join our Boston team to make our customer-facing website and web applications look and feel incredible. This person will report to the Director of Product Management, and work closely with the Product, Marketing and Engineering teams. We are looking for a highly talented designer with experience working with complex consumer sites and interactive applications. You'll create graphics and mockups; contribute to mixed-fidelity wireframes and prototypes; iterate and collaborate on widely varying features; maintain and extend our UI library; help us maintain visual consistency and quality and brand identity; and share responsibility for ensuring our users have a fantastic experience. This is a highly visible position and your work will directly impact our shared success. You will help us develop cutting-edge interfaces and have the opportunity to contribute to the creation and growth of the core products and features of the front end to one of the most advanced web applications on the planet.

To be successful in the role, you must have proven experience designing first-rate web interfaces. You should approach design from a user's point of view, while balancing business goals with the user's needs. This isn't an engineering / developer role, but some web development experience is desired. Specific academic credentials are not a prerequisite, but an impressive online portfolio of design examples is absolutely required.

Required:* 2-6 years experience in similar web design roles* Expert Photoshop/Illustrator skills* Web development skills (HTML and CSS req’d, JS/jQuery desired)* Firm grasp of web standards, accessibility, usability, etc* Great time management skill, "getting it done" attitude

Desired:* Experience working with wireframes (e.g. Balsamiq) would be nice* Any experience with Ruby on Rails, HAML and SASS would be great* Some knowledge of WPO (web performance optimization) techniques would be very cool* BA degree in related discipline also nice to have but not required, given the right work experience and portfolio
