Purposes:

Interaction Design Engineer - Contingent The Interaction Designer playsa key role leading all user experience activities for a defined audience. Thisrole coordinates their own efforts with those of other User Experience Designersthat have connections or overlap with their audience. Interaction Designersconsult with Audience/Product Manager(s) in the creation of the product visionand road map, audience/user definition, and stakeholder needs. They also obtainand document high-level business requirements through the use of prototypes,user stories, and other tools. The position is expected to last up to 1 year,but could be renewed for a 2nd year. There is also a possibility of conversionto regular employment at some point. Description: The Interaction Designer isan assigned member of a Project Team within a portfolio and is accountable forthe following activities:

• Assists in the creation and execution of the product vision and roadmap

• Gathers and documents product and project requirements for the userinterface

• Prototype potential solutions for approval

• Present prototypes to various audiences for approval

• Leads all aspects of user testing and validation

• Communicates user interface requirements to the Development Team

• Coordinates efforts with other Interaction Designers that haveconnections or overlap with their project

• Ensures that the user experience of the end product meets theoriginal intent and is of the highest possible quality

Qualifications:

• Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with acurrent temple recommend.

• 8+ years of experience in user research and designing public facingwebsites. Internationalization and localization experience is preferred.

• An Online Portfolio that demonstrates an ability to thinkstrategically, superior visual designs, and strong interaction design skillsPreferred Skills:

• Creative problem solving skills, think conceptually and craft elegantsolutions

• Excellent knowledge and abilities in user experience methods, bestpractices, design principles, problem-framing skills

• Be able to play a major role in defining and developing the userexperience for the Church's products

• Ability to carry the design vision through to completion in an agiledevelopment environment

• Branding, marketing or content strategy experience

• Ability to transfer user insights into quality user experiences

• Ability to work with a team of content producers, including writers,audio/visual specialists, and product managers

• Experience with mockups (HTML/CSS)

• Exceptional experience in UI/Interaction, design principles andiconography
