FactSet is currently looking for a Programmer Analyst to join our Information Systems team at our corporate headquarters in Norwalk, CT. The Information Systems Department at FactSet designs and develops integrated productivity tools and reporting systems that serve the operational and strategic needs of our rapidly growing business. We are seeking a talented person to fill the role of Programmer Analyst Software Developer. An ideal candidate for this position has a good mix of technical, analytical, and business skills.

The key areas of responsibility include:

• Ability to analyze business problems in order to develop software solutions

• Excellent customer service skills, especially in addressing relevant technical and business problems

• Desire to learn about all aspects of the business

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL Server, T-SQL, MySQL)

• Object oriented design

• Experience with .Net development

• Work well within a team with each member having specific defined role

Highly Desired Skills:

• 2+ years SQL experience (MS-SQL preferred)

• 2+ years experience with .Net development

.Net development experience should encompass most of the following:

• Microsoft .NET Framework - Application Programming Languages (C#, Visual Basic, ASP.Net)

• Web application design and development (HTML, XML/XSL, JavaScript, ASP.Net, IIS, jQuery , AJAX, PHP)

• Distributed architectures (client server, multi-tiered)
