Forum One is seeking an Interactive Designer who can help us create innovative designs for the digital space.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in all things visual as well as interactive. To be considered, you must be great withthe look and feel of a brand, possess knowledge of emerging media, and have a burning passion for everything from social media to mobile technology. Visual design is a must, but you should also know how to apply interactive principles with HTML, CSS, and core web technologies. You'll be judged on your portfolio, so show us a clean, sophisticated style of design.

Responsibilities: What You Can Expect on the Job

• Use design standards/systems to ensure high-quality graphic production
• Provide creative designs for internal and external projects
• Nurture and promote the Interaction design practice within your team and Forum One
• Assess existing sites/properties for visual and interactive appeal
• Create high-quality deliverables, demonstrating your thorough ability to balance interaction design with technical platform capabilities and limitations
• Identify strategic opportunities for competitive advantages based on findings
• Aid in creating materials for stakeholder interviews, including: preparing notes and analyzing findings to understand key success factors for a project or engagement
• Develop mood boards and other visual assets
• Create visually compelling representations of the solution’s high-level interaction, navigation, and organization design
• Support creative aspects of sales pursuits, including proposal creation and oral presentations
• Identify tools, templates, and techniques that evolve existing approaches for the larger creative community at Forum One

Key Qualifications: What You Need to be Part of the Forum One Team

• BA / BFA in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field
• 3+ years professional web design experience
• Portfolio site that clearly demonstrates your abilities
• Expert in industry UI standards, tools, and related technologies including Adobe Suite and OmniGraffle
• Experience in designing for core web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
• Experience in thinking beyond the static page, and planning for user interaction
• Experience with Content Management Systems, such as WordPress and Drupal, is desired
• Strong communication skills: able to explain design concepts to diverse audiences, including other designers, developers, and clients
• Proven ability to follow direction and, when needed, to excell on tasks with little or no oversight
• Ability to design and implement compelling user experiences
• Inclination and ability to serve as a self-starter who plays well with others
