Description Overview:

We're looking for an up-and-coming designer who wants to join a small, in-house design group. We design for a network of travel sites that are viewed by millions. You could have a hand in helping to reshape our sites as we try to make major design--both UI and IA--improvements and begin to make our content more accessible on mobile devices.

Responsibilities:

In return, we need a designer who brings a well-developed aesthetic and the usual tool kit: knowledge of typography, grid layouts, information hierarchy, interactive design, and a keen eye for the important details. You should also have a solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and recent developments in those areas. You're willing to experiment and push beyond your limitations.

Qualifications:

Specifically, you should know Photoshop inside and out. Our current process involves developing hi-fidelity mock ups for our production team. In doing so you'll be required to balance the needs of several groups including the business and technology teams. You'll need to synthesize requests and input from different groups and use your judgment to sculpt the best product you can.
