50onRed is looking for an exceptional software engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for people who are passionate about working together to build awesome high-scale web applications. This position will have an impact on the way we design, develop and test our products.

We're a fast-growing and innovative online marketing company. We create a number of advertising based products to help make it easy to monetize the web. We're located in the Cira Center next to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia and we're a short walk from Center City and easily accessible by public transportation.

50onRed operates a premium ad network and serves over billions of online ad impressions each month. We work with large advertisers such as Groupon and eHarmony, and develop innovative products to monetize many of the web's largest shopping, dating, and social websites. Our extremely talented engineering is challenged each day with building highly scalable, innovative products used by millions of people around the world.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and test new software
• Work with Development and Network Operations teams to deliver superb results
• Supports fellow co-workers
• Effectively manages products at any point of their life cycle
• Prioritizes work flow to overcome daily challenges
• Occasionally be able to support infra-structure management

We primarily code in PHP, but we also use:

• Python & Ruby (or whatever language is best for the job)
• Opscode Chef to manage our infrastructure on EC2
• MySQL as a primary persistence backend
• Alternate data stores like Redis or MongoDB
• Git & svn
• Jquery
• PHPUnit & Selenium

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
• Experience with PHP (OO, 5.3+) and MySQL
• Be able to code something in the interview
• Knowledge of source control & best practices
• Some experience with javascript and the front-end stack
• Basic knowledge of working with unix/linux
• Be able to hold conversations with team members and actively participate in daily standup meetings

Bonus Points For:

• Experience scaling out web apps
• Experience developing browser extensions
• Familiarity with concepts of Aglie/Lean development
