Fox News Channel: JavaScript Developer

FOXNews is seeking a second shift (2pm-10pm) client side engineer for its Web Production and Development department. Candidate will work as the liaison between the Design/UI staff and other Web Application Developers to create Web 2.0 components. The ideal candidate should have experience with front-end technologies like jQuery/JSON and be able to get your hands dirty with server side technologies like JAVA/JSP or PHP.

Candidates should have 3 years of relevant web development experience.

General Requirements:

* Must be a well-rounded developer who has experience working with client side technologies.

* Must be intelligent, self-motivated, a quick learner, practical, and have a curious mind.

* Must be a self-starter with a can-do attitude; has demonstrated success in building something new and aggressively meets goals.

Required Technical Skills:

* Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience required.

* Proficient with Web 2.0 client side technologies: jQuery/JavaScript, CSS/HTML, and JSON/XML.

* Experience coding server side technologies (Java/JSP or PHP) is a plus

* Comfortable working in an agile environment, Linux, Apache, databases, XSLT, and unit tests is a plus.

Following Media Experience a Plus:

* Experience working with high traffic web sites.

* Experience working with a content delivery networks (CDN).

* Experience working with advertising networks and web tracking systems.

* Experience building search friendly websites.
