Software Developer

As a software developer for Caxiam Group, you'll mainly architect and create web applications. You'll be expected to improve on our code and help devise technical solutions for our individual departments. 

 Location 

This opportunity is for those located in (or willing to re-locate to) the Orlando area only. 

Responsibilities

• You'll design, develop, test and implement web-based applications.
• You'll build integration software to tie web applications to our clients ERP systems.
• You'll join in reviews to improve your own and your coworker's code.
• You'll monitor, maintain and improve our internal tools and frameworks and our client websites.

Skills

You know what you're doing. You have experience developing with an MVC framework, database design and implementation and working in a test-driven development. You have also have experience with ColdFusion, PHP and Java, as well as CSS, JavaScript and HTML. 

You have the experience to prove you know what you're doing. You have a Bachelor's in CS or equivalent experience and have 1-2 years of experience developing public-facing web applications. 

You can implement new systems and manage existing ones. You possess systems integration skills (e.g. data management and synchronization across multiple systems) and when possible, you look to improve a company or organization's workflows. 

You're methodical. You have experience with QA/Test methodologies, agile software development or other formal software development methodologies. 

You're meticulous, organized and you know communication is crucial. You have experience writing clear and concise software design specifications.

Icing on the Cake

You have experience with system administration. Managing Linux (Redhat & CentOS) servers, Windows servers, GIT, Solr, Nutch, Apache, Tomcat, and MySQL.
