Zimbio – the online magazine publisher behind zimbio.com (entertainment news) and stylebistro.com (fashion/beauty) - is looking for a User Experience Designer with the skills and passion to lead all aspects of interaction and visual design for its growing portfolio of sites that reach over 25 million readers each month.

• We’re a tech-driven media company aiming to be the most popular and influential online magazine publisher on the planet, and we’re building a next-generation media platform to help get usthere.

• Our flagship property, zimbio.com, is an entertainment news website, serving over 25 million unique visitors and 250 million pageviews per month on a global basis.  It consistently ranks as a top 5 entertainment news property, alongside Yahoo omg!, TMZ, and People.

• Our second property, stylebistro.com, is less than a year old and is already a top 15 style site generating over 100 million pageviews per month.  More successful properties to come down the road.

• We ingest and publish a TON of content (millions of articles, photos, and videos) from thousands of sources, ranging from photo agencies and music labels to citizen journalists and our own editorial teams.

About You:

• You’re a super-smart problem solver who loves to come up with simple and elegant design solutions to complicated interface problems.

• You have a solid history of experience (5-7 years) building world-class interfaces, and an awesome portfolio that speaks for itself.

• You have a strong product sensibility that enables you to strive for design perfection but know when to compromise, and when to release early and iterate based on user feedback, data, and other priorities.

• You are first and foremost an experience designer, but have a broad related skill set which enables you to wear multiple hats in a true startup fashion (bonus points for excellence and experience in either visual design, html/css coding, or product management)

• You are collaborative in nature and enjoy working with teammates across engineering, editorial, sales and marketing. You create option sets for discussion and manage feedback in a constructive and thick-skinned manner.

• You love photos and photo-rich experiences.

• You’re excited by scale, and by building products that entertain millions of people around the world.
