Obama for America is looking for front-end developers to join our digital team. We're going to run the most effective, creative, and innovative digital campaign in the history of politics, and our digital team will be core to achieving the communications, fundraising and organizing goals of the cause.

The campaign will be built around barackobama.com and a suite of other web and mobile properties, and we need top-notch developers to help shape it.

You should have knowledge of and/or strong interest in:

• Bulletproof, cross-browser compatible HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Web performance optimization and best practices
• HTML5 and the HTML5 Boilerplate framework
• jQuery mobile and responsive design
• Ways to integrate Facebook, Twitter and other social APIs into a site
• A/B Testing with Optimizely
• Collaborating with other digital team members to spec out the web applications aligned with the campaign's strategic goals
• Writing clean and sufficiently documented code
• Typography, white space and other details that occur at the intersection of design and code
• Managing expectations; balancing scope and timeline
• Translating requests from non-technical people into asks of very technical people

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications; we also offer a benefits plan.
