You will drive a user-centered design process to redefine the user experience of the Jigsaw.com website.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a growing team of interaction designers. You will be accountable for driving innovative approaches, elevating quality, inspiring the team’s work, and ensuring that they pursue the highest quality user experience design practices.
• Establish philosophies and methodologies for delivering User Centric Design. Be an evangelist for user-centered design throughout the organization.
• Ensure that a consistent vision and approach are applied when developing new interfaces and enhancing existing ones.
• Work directly with Product Owners, Executives and Managers to define product design strategies.
• Define and prioritize design schedules, allocate appropriate resources to multiple projects and initiatives.
• Assist and support staff with their projects; facilitate cross-project collaboration; introduce staff to new techniques and interface development methods.
• Work closely with Development Managers to ensure successful implementation of user interface design and functionality.
• Research new options and features to incorporate into the interface.

Required Skills:

• Expert in Interaction Design, with 5-7 years experience as a senior member of a user interface team.
• Undergraduate degree in Human Factors, HCI, Industrial Design, CS, or related areas.
• Solid knowledge of and experience with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3,jQuery.
• Experience in leading and managing a multidisciplinary team of user experience design professionals.
• Proven experience in managing a user-centered design process through multiple product lifecycles.
• Organized, independent, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent track record of out-of-the-box thinking and innovative design.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong domain knowledge in web application.

Desired Skills:

• Experience managing projects that involve 3rd party design agencies
• Experience achieving User Centered Design in Agile environments
• Interest or expertise in crowd-sourcing and gamification
