We're a small team on a mission to build the next major brand in online commerce.

We're looking for a Lead Web Designer to help us build the Everlane experience. Our site is live and growing with over 100,000 reach in less than fourmonths. You'll be responsible for designing a beautiful product, setting the tone of the site, and coming up with innovative ways to solve our design challenges. 

You'll lead with product decisions from the start, and have the authority and ability to build something special. This includes everything from brainstorming product features, creating mockups and implementing them with HTML/ CSS. We want someone who can create something from scratch and build a growing team. 

All hires have a real stake in the company and our designers are highly valued. This is a full-time position and our salaries are competitive with top tier web startups.

Requirements:

• A strong portfolio is #1, especially self-started web sites and applications
• Excellent web design skills across the board: interaction, visual, product etc.
• Curiosity and a passion for creating elegant experiences
• Ability to build what you design — HTML/ CSS knowledge is preferred
• Exceptional candidates will have experience with Ruby and building web applications
• You should be ready to make this startup an important part of your life
