Web Developer (JavaScript) Social Club Rockstar Games is looking for a talented and dedicated Web Developer with expert-level experience in Javascript to join our Rockstar Games Social Club team and develop online technologies. Social Club is a set of core technologies present in all Rockstar titles and online; its primary purpose is to integrate Rockstar online gaming community activity with the in-game connected experience. Responsibilities • Development of features/applications utilizing HTML, Javascript, and CSS • Development of standards-compliant web UIs utilizing cross-browser compatible HTML, Javascript, and CSS, including optimizations for mobile devices • Integrating front-end applications primarily with ASP.NET (C#) MVC and PHP (CakePHP) • Web performance optimization • Collaboration with other Rockstar technology teams across our worldwide studios Requirements • Expert Javascript/AJAX/jQuery • Proficient HTML/CSS • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Fundamental understanding of C#.NET, PHP, and MVC methodologies • Experience with HTML5 • Passion for web development Pluses • Strongly desire C++ • Knowledge of embedded systems - specifically browser technologies such as WebKit, Gecko, V8, and SpiderMonkey • Understanding of behavioral differences between rendering or Javascript engines • Experience authoring for mobile devices • Knowledge of Agile software development process (particularly Scrum). • Appreciation of software development best practices. • Good experience with shared code and use of source control platforms. • Experience with Subversion and Visual Studio • Passion for games (especially Rockstar Games titles).
