Organization Objective/Purpose:

Creative Services is Schwab’s in-house agency that creates a wide range of client, prospect and internal communications.  Our work spans virtually every communication channel and is rooted in our deep knowledge of the Schwab brand, its purpose and its many audiences.  Our unique value: As an integrated business unit within the firm, we have the access and know-how to grow client relationships, attract prospects and bring products to market at two-thirds of the cost of outside agencies.  We are seeking a full-time Front End Developer to join our in-house Creative Team.

Brief Description of Role:

* Write new challenging HTML/CSS layout with fun team (45%)

* Code emails, landing pages and web sites following studio specs (35%)

* Code front-end for Ruby-on-Rails or PHP apps (10%)

* Documentation (10%)

Technical/FunctionalQualifications:

* 3-5 years experience of table-less layout HTML and CSS* 3+ years with javascript/jQuery* Advanced skills with with sprites, dhtml, xhtml, I.E. 6 troubleshooting

* Able to hand-code CSS and HTML quickly under pressure

* Familiar with industry standards for emails, banners, cross-browser compatibility

* Familiar with Moveable Type, Wordpress, Drupal and/or other CMS software

*Bachelors degree preferred

*Preferred skills to include:

• Ad agency background
• Art school, architecture, or creative writing background
• Experience with optimizing graphics
• Experience coding front-end for Ruby-on-Rails
