Specto Design Group is  looking for a front end web developer.

We're looking for someone that lives, eats and breathes code and love, love, loves taking designers layered Photoshop files and turning them into valid cross browser/platform working sites. jQuery is fun for you - you have cool ideas of new implementations of jQuery. You stay up on new technology including all things social.

We will consider jr. level candidates as well but you have to know your stuff. Your portfolio must demonstrate knowledge of cross-browser/cross-platform coding in HTML 5 and CSS and you should know most, if not all of the day to day stuff listed below.

Day to day

• Slide PSDs into CSS and HTML
• 
Separate structure, presentation and behavior using semantic markup

• Optimize CSS, HTML and images... can you say SPRITE!

• JQuery and JQuery Mobile work

• Make sure your sites work on IE7+, Firefox, Safari...

• Work on CMS sites

• Skin web apps (debug advanced CSS)

• PHP should be familiar to you

• Accurately estimate effort for your projects

• Brainstorm on technical viability/functionality/implementation ideas for interactive projects

Necessary Skills


• Sprite master

• SEO knowledge in relation to coding

• Basic design sensiblities
 - you don't need to be a designer.
• Dedicated to producing high-quality, cutting-edge solutions that meet or exceed client requirements and expectations.

• Creative thinker.
• 
Excellent verbal and written skills

• Professional, courteous, no EGOS please - we work in an ego free environment.

Your tools will be Photoshop, JQuery/AJAX, CSS and HTML to integrate with our server side team (Grails, Groovy, Java). Agency experience a plus!
